Take a handful of basil leaves and steep them in 250ml of boiling water. Boil the leaves for 20-25 minutes. Strain the water and then allow it to cool. Use basil water as an effective mouthwash for curing mouth ulcers. Gargle with this water at least four times during the day especially after every meal.

Cloves are very beneficial in the treatment of many conditions related to the mouth including toothaches and mouth ulcers. Take a clean ear bud and dip it in clove oil. Gently apply the oil directly over the ulcer. Do this 5-6 times during the day.

Mix one cup of hydrogen peroxide with three cups of spring water to prepare hydrogen peroxide mouth wash. This mouth wash is very effective in the treatment of mouth ulcers. Garlic is antibacterial in nature and therefore effective in the treatment of ulcers if they have been caused as a result of infection. Using garlic will effectively prevent the infection from spreading to other parts of the mouth. Peel and crush 2-3 pods of garlic. Make paste of baking soda by mixing it with very little spring water. Apply the paste directly over the mouth ulcer. Grate one medium sized onion after peeling it. Squeeze the onion to draw its juices. Mix very little organic honey with the onion juice and apply it over the ulcers.
